Six Days at the Bottom of the Ocean
On Monday I saw the AMAZING "The Diving Bell & the Butterfly."
It's an incredible true story (based on the book of the same name) about a man named Jean-Dominique Bauby who suffers a stroke at age 43. He's left completely paralyzed except for the ability to blink his left eye, a condition called locked-in syndrome (described as "the closest thing to being buried alive").
Director Julian Schnabel does an heartbreakingly wonderful job of telling Bauby's story & the cinematography is incredible.
The Wikipedia entry about the making of the film is pretty interesting.
Just go see it. Here's the trailer.

Now I do believe I read that Explosions in the Sky either did some of the soundtrack for "The Diving Bell & the Butterfly" or provided music for the trailer... am I confused?
I am jumping on the Explosions in the Sky bandwagon rather late I know. I've always had a bit of an aversion to instrumental bands. I like to sing along but boy are these pretty. And I love the titles they choose for each song.
Here are some gorgeous tracks from those fine fellas from Austin, Explosions in the Sky for you:
Explosions in the Sky - Your Hand in Mine
Explosions in the Sky - Welcome, Ghosts
Explosions in the Sky - What Do You Go Home to?
Explosions in the Sky - A Poor Man's Memory
Explosions in the Sky - Six Days at the Bottom of the Ocean
Explosions in the Sky - So Long, Lonesome

The movie was great indeed. I'm glad you've liked it.

I sure like the Explosions in the Sky song used for "Friday Night Lights".
