I'd written this really charming & delightful entry the other day, then my connection freaked out & I lost it. I've been spending more time outside the blogging world lately because I STILL don't have a cable/internet connection at my new apartment. WTF? (Anyone have a connection at Time Warner Cable by any chance?)
But I can't complain about it too much because I've been doing some fun stuff like learning to ride my totally awesome scooter that I just got out of storage & walking my doggies & DJing... The weather's beautiful -- gotta get out & enjoy it before it becomes too hot to breathe.
But i digress...here's a set that's old & new shizz that I think works together nicely:
Death from Above 1979 -- Black History Month (Girl on Girl Revision)
Kraftwerk -- Tour de France
Hot Chip -- Colours (DFA Remix)
I'd put links in there for each band, but it's not like you can't easily find them on MySpace. Also, I'm lazy. And on a totally unrelated note, THIS has made me laugh all day long.

That youtube video is hilarious! It's really sympathetic how they let their inhibitions go and have a great time instead. Being a wimp, I'd have gone on a diet first, which means I've a lot to learn...
Anyway, will write a proper email one of these days. I've been really stressed lately and have a hard time to focus due to exams (phew!). In that department I excel in idling, not self discipline.
By the way - and on a more sombre note - the illustration to this post makes me think of the original artwork for Safariari's first album. It comes with a bizarre story that you can find information about here: http://www.radiokhartoum.com/pop-ups-misc/safariari.htm
A Cafe 2001 devotee at the time I remember it too well. Time to stop my digression, though.
Hope all's well and - I must emphasise this - drive carefully :)
