This post is all over the map but LOADED with cool stuff happening & about to happen so read on!
Like your music hot & your chefs hotter? (I swure i should totally be writing for JANE magazine or something) Then you should check out a new web show called DINNER WITH THE BAND. According to the email announcement: "Dinner with the Band is hosted by Sam Mason*, who will soon open the highly anticipated SOHO restaurant and lounge called Tailor. In the 5-episode show, Mason demonstrates his culinary skills in his own apartment kitchen while talking with the bands about life on the road and their music. You'll also get to watch three up-close and personal performances by each artist. Future shows will feature Cities on Fire, Matt & Kim, Tokyo Police Club, among others.
This mash-up of cutting edge cuisine with indie music is fun, entertaining and unlike anything you can find on traditional TV. In fact, it's one of several new programs being introduced by ON
Networks, a new media company delivering short-form, weekly videos that you can watch over the Internet and new networks like IPTV, digital cable and iTunes." You can watch a trailer HERE featuring the HARLEM SHAKES & THE CLOUD ROOM!
(* That Sam Mason's pretty dreamy by the way)

(*The ORIGINAL Renegade Craft Fair takes place in Chicago & is later in the summer. No date is listed on the craft fair site as of today.)

Neutral Milk Hotel -- In the Aeroplane Over the Sea
This song has nothing to do with this post but I adore it so I'm throwing it in. The couple at the last wedding I spun at danced to this as their first dance as husband & wife. (The groom edited the song a bit to keep it from getting out of hand.) It was really lovely.

MEMPHIS (Torquil of STARS) + MASCOTT + JADE McNELIS. 7:30 pm doors, $15.
Stars -- Elevator Love Letter
I had trouble getting a Memphis song to post, so I cheated & posted
a wonderful Stars song instead. You can listen to Memphis on the
MySpace page (linked above).
Mascott -- Costume Ball
Because I'm lucky & have a close connection to Miss Kendall Jane Meade (aka Mascott), I'm able to post this delightful gem!
Tonight's show should be pure pop bliss featuring very attractive people! Because I'm just a superficial jurk, this is the sort of show I love :)
