Seems like I Can't get away from You, even in the Launderette...
Just spent part of today perusing youyesyou.net. I love that guy -- his drawings are so great, so clever!
Two totally hilarious links:
-- the NERDCORE RISING trailer!
-- & the Effects of Drugs & Alcohol on Spider Webs!

Then on Monday, January 15th, I've been asked to return to the Phantastic Invisible Tentacle to guest DJ!
It's at Beauty Bar every Monday -- starts at 9 pm. Great music in the front room & crazy movies shown in the back! It's always fun.
BEAUTY BAR
231 E 14th St
Near 3rd Ave
NYC
And now here are a few little lovelies for you on this soggy Monday afternoon:
Broadcast -- America's Boy I adore Broadcast & I love this song -- it's so timely.
Loveninjas -- Meet Me Here Yet another Swedish band making great pop music. If loving this is wrong, i don't wanna be right! You can check out the Loveninjas on MySpace.
Lily Allen -- Blank Expression You know I love me some Lily Allen. Big ups to Ion who graciously sent this delightful cover to me.
Vivien Goldman -- Launderette I know next to nothing about Vivien Goldman except that this song stops me in my tracks every time I hear it. She's a pretty interesting woman according to this & this. Amazing!
Nancy Wilson -- My Sweet Thing Wowza this is a good one, eh? Nancy Wilson's getting a little more Motown with this one.

Happy new year Colleen! Looks like you're keeping yourself busy. You're more than welcome for the Lily track. It's the third most downloaded track according to the Hype Machine, so you must be getting plenty of hits. Love the other tunes as well.

"The crack spider's bitch" - oh my, I nearly wet myself laughing!! So proud to see the Canadian Film Board was involved... ;-)
Lilly Allen covering The Specials - ska-riffic!!! And the Loveninjas are grand. Methinks Swedes can do no wrong.
Happy Happy 2007 to you, ma chere. Lovely to see you in such fine fettle right from the get go!
