The RAW SUGAR party at LAST EXIT Saturday night was insane! Thanks to everyone that came out -- the next one is Saturday OCTOBER 21st so mark your calendars...oh & I just got word today that DJ WHITE WHINE will be joining me for the next SUGARTOWN at LAST EXIT (which is on Thursday Sept 28th)!
Ugh. I've been having a rough couple of days my friends, I'm not going to lie to you. I'm not sure how much I want to tell you but suffice it to say that my romantic life is disappointing to me. The saddest part is that I do it all to myself & I know it. Trying to have something long distance just weighs really heavy on me -- not seeing the other person much, not knowing what he's doing, who he's with -- it can seriously make you a little nuts. Do you know hard it is to see pictures online of a guy that you like spending all of his time with his ex? Good friends or not (not that I'll really ever know), it still fucking sucks.
Meh. I'm just feeling blue today here are the songs that make up today's soundtrack:
"I Get in My Way"
MEW -- Am I Wry? No: How do the Danes do pop so well? This song has a great beginning & just builds & builds into a better & better song as it swoops & curves along. Check out MEW.
LES SAVY FAV -- Pills : Brooklyn's own -- their shit is hot. I love them.
THE ROLLING STIZZONES -- Waiting on a Friend One of my favorite songs of all time... feels like NYC to me.
Don't worry about me though -- I should be back to my old self again soon ... XOXO

who is this guy and what is his music taste? That shall be his judgement!
psst - (thx for showin me how to save those songs!)

Aww, that IS les pits, ma chere. I did the long distance thang with Dearest Wife for a year - I lived in London, she in Leeds. No exes involved, but let me tell you it was both a strain and, as Johnny and Iggy sang, No Fun. So I empathize, and will have a wee mope for you...
Have you heard Harvee?? They are making me v. happy right now, so I invite you chez mon blog for a listen to "Father Was A Gambler." It may pick you up, fingers crossed...
