My landlord is most likely going to aggressively sell the apartment I rent from him. I've been here for three years & I really am in love with the place. It has all the amenities a girl could want (dishwasher, washer/dryer IN the apartment & a grocery store next door!). It's cute as a button, in a nice neighborhood in Brooklyn & did I mention the ROOFDECK with the spectacular views of Manhattan, Brooklyn & the Statue of Liberty? Sigh.
Seriously, this is the best apartment I've ever lived in & the nicest neighborhood I've ever lived in -- which is amazing considering that I live in NYC! But I digress...
I realize that there are more dream apartments out there but I'm afraid to let this one go. And I don't even want to THINK about paying brokers fees, deposits, looking at apartment after apartment...Thinking about new neighborhoods to look into...all that headache.
Anyone out there know have any inside info on a steal in Brooklyn or Manhattan that allows dogs? Lemme know.
In other news - be sure to check out SUGARTOWN at LAST EXIT on THURS 9/28 (10 pm to 2 am) -- I'll be spinning with special guest DJ WHITE WHINE from ON THE LAM! It should be super fun :)
WHERE IS HOME?
CRYSTAL SKULLS - Away from Home Oh how I love them!
THE SMITHS - Back to the Old House Yeh yeh - you knew I'd throw this one in!
SUPERGRASS - Moving I saw the Supergrass boys rock the haus at the Leeds music festival in '91 & it was BANGIN'!
LILYS - Who is Moving Lilys guitarist/vocalist, Kurt Heasley, is underrated & underappreciated. His music is magic.
THE KINKS - I Gotta Move The Kinks = GENIUS! What else needs to be said?
DEAD FAMOUS PEOPLE - Barlow's House Lovely - wish I could get my hands on more Dead Famous People songs.
See you on Thursday!
XO
Colleen
