As most of you know, I have a lil internet radio show at EAST VILLAGE RADIO called SANDY ACRES SOUND LAB & it's my pride & joy. It's on the air LIVE every Saturday morning from 10 am to noon EST & there are podcasts & archives available so you can listen to shows whenever you'd like!
East Village Radio is a community-run INTERNET radio station located in the East Village in Manhattan. It's very much a DIY operation. (Learn more about EVR HERE). So each DJ has to find his/her own sponsor(s) for his/her show, After having a few local small businesses sponsor me to varied (often frustrating) results, I CAME UP WITH A PLAN:
I'm asking YOU music lovers, Sugartown readers & hopefully Sandy Acres Sound Lab listeners to become my sponsors.I have to raise $500 quarterly to keep my radio show*. I figure if I can get 50 people to donate a mere $10 each, I'll have reached my goal & my sponsorship will be set for the next three months!
Anyone who donates $25 or more will receive a delightful limited-edition mixed CD featuring tracks lovingly picked by me with a Colleen Crumbcake drawn cover (see that cute cartoon up there? I did it!)
* I'm not looking to make any money for myself here, there IS a cap. I will NOT accept any donations after my cap is met.
SO WON'T YOU PLEASE SUPPORT TRULY INDEPENDENT RADIO BY SPONSORING SANDY ACRES SOUND LAB?? Donate using the PayPal button below (please include a note when you do) & sincerely, THANK YOU.

Oooh, Daisy Chainsaw! Poor, wee, ragged, dotty Katie Jane Garside. She and her chums sure did make a grand noise. And am I right in recalling that guitarist Crispin had razor-sharp cheekbones??
And I will gladly part with some sheckels to keep experimentation at Sandy Acres going strong. Kids may not eat for a week, but we all must make sacrifices in the name of art!!!
